HAPPY HOLIDAYS
It's that time of the year, we're we have to look back, over the past few months and give thanks, that we're here today.
There are people we love, who didn't get the chance to be here with us.
So as this chapter comes to end, what or who are you thankful for?
James chapter 1, verses 17-18 says;
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.
Therefore, as we come to a close of this book.
Let us remember that we are here today, by the mercy and grace, that God has granted us with,
Every barrier that we've overcome, is by his guidance and protection.
Every situation, that we've handled, is by the faith, we've put into his promises.
Every circumstance, that we've tackled, is by the strength he's embedded in us.
He is with us every moment, even when we don't think he is, even when we don't feel he is, but he is.
His love for us, has always been first, his love for us never stops and restarts, it's a continuous cycle, that he surrounds us with.
He is loyal, he is faithful and he is forgiving and every day, that we're awake, lets be thankful for the path he's laid out for us.
For we are the gifts of life, full of different talents, different personalities, different abilities and stories, yet God always finds a way, for us to move and meet others, who will balance out a certain relationship or friendship.
Who will bring us experiences that teaches, shapes and moulds us. We are all a gift, here to make a change to the world, big or small, because being present in someone's life, is a precious gift in itself, one that is priceless..
We are gifts, created with love, created in the image of our Lord Saviour Jesus Christ.
Jesus, the son of God, who sacrificed his life, for us to live ours. Who sacrificed his life, so we can love another, who sacrificed his life, so we can walk, to spread the word and the goodness of all that he has done, he's doing and yet to do.
As we gather together, let us be filled with love, with joy. Life is not easy, life is not perfect, we will come across pain and we will come across loss.
We will stumble, we will fall back and we will become disengaged, but if we have God and if we have one another, to push each other through our trials, than that gift of life, can never wasted.
We will always rise and transform like a Phoenix and our purposes can never be taken away, our assignments, will never be redirected and the blessings God has for us, will never come back void.
Father of lights, with his presence, we will always be resourceful, because with every darkened moment, he will provide the light.
With every setback, he will provide a comeback and with every brokenness, he will bring restoration. He will sustain and provide, as long as we take time with him and for him.
So as we celebrate all the things Christ has done for us, as we celebrate his life, as we celebrate one another's life. Lets go into the New Year, with boldness, with the courage and with the strength to be a change and to make a change in our lives.
For once we make that tiny step, towards being different, God will unleash all the things, he knows we've been waiting for. Don't be discouraged by the things you can not see, but be uplifted by God's promises, for the doors yet to open.
Don't lose who you're supposed to be, in the midst of what's going on around you. Don't lose focus, on the plans he has for you, because good things take time.
As Maya Angelou says;
Be present in all things and thankful for all things.
Happy Holidays!
