Autumn has a beautiful way of reminding us that change is a natural part of life.
The leaves begin to fall, the mornings become darker, there’s a crispness in the air, and suddenly, we find ourselves stepping into another season.
Perhaps you’re entering this season feeling excited about what’s ahead. Or maybe you’re feeling tired, overwhelmed or simply in need of a little encouragement.

Whatever this season looks like for you, I hope you remember that you don’t have to have everything figured out.
Sometimes, we simply need to pause, breathe and remind ourselves that we are still growing, still becoming and still worthy of the beautiful things life has to offer.
What I love about the autumn season is winding down after a long day at work and having the blessing of cuddling up with my loved ones on the sofa, enjoying a nice hot tea, wrapping ourselves in blankets and settling down to a nice film.
It gives me time to reflect on all the beautiful little things, while everything around me is changing.
Sometimes, when the weather changes, so can our mood. So, how can we aim to stay positive during autumn?
One way is through affirmations. They can be a special way of encouraging us and leading us into a new chapter, while reminding us to be gentle with ourselves.

Why Autumn Affirmations Can Help You Embrace the Season
As the season changes, there are so many things that can affect our physical and mental well-being.
There are the dark mornings and the cold chill. Then there are the school runs, work and those autumn bugs that seem to go around. All of these things can affect us in ways that we may not always realise straight away.
There may also be days when we simply don’t feel like ourselves. Days when our energy feels low, our thoughts feel heavy and we need a little reminder that we are doing okay.
This is where affirmations can become a beautiful daily practice.
Affirmations can help to boost our energy, transform our mindset and give a little nudge of encouragement to our hearts. They can remind us to look beyond what we are experiencing in the moment and speak words of hope over ourselves.
They are a gentle reminder to help us walk through the fallen leaves with joy, peace and positivity.

How to Make Affirmations Part of Your Daily Practice
If you’re entering this season needing a little encouragement, these affirmations are for you.
Read them slowly. Choose the ones that speak to your heart. Write them down, say them aloud and return to them whenever you need a gentle reminder of your worth, your strength and the person you are becoming.
You can choose one affirmation each morning and carry it with you throughout the day. You could write your favourite affirmation in your journal, place it somewhere you can see it, or simply speak it aloud when you need a little encouragement.
There is no right or wrong way to practise affirmations. What matters is taking a little time to pause, breathe and remind yourself of the words you need to hear.
You don’t have to believe every word immediately. Sometimes, an affirmation is simply the beginning of a new conversation with yourself.
You may find that certain affirmations speak to you more during different seasons of life, and that’s okay. Allow yourself to return to the words that bring you comfort, encouragement and hope.

Finding Beauty in the Autumn Season
There’s something beautiful about autumn.
The sun trying to make its way through the cloudy sky. The warmth gently embracing the chill of the day. The beautiful views and the emotions they bring can fill us with such awe.
There is something about watching the world around us change that encourages us to pause and reflect.
Autumn reminds us that change is a natural part of life.
Just as the trees release their leaves, perhaps there are things we need to release too. Letting go doesn’t always mean forgetting. Sometimes, it means making room for something new.
The trees don’t hold on to their leaves simply because they are familiar. They release them, making room for a new season.
Perhaps we can give ourselves permission to do the same. Maybe there are things you’ve been carrying that you no longer need to hold so tightly and maybe there are old thoughts, disappointments, fears or expectations that you are ready to release.
And maybe this season is giving you permission to begin again.
So, as the leaves fall, take some time to breathe, reflect and remind yourself of how far you have come.
Give yourself permission to slow down and give yourself permission to rest.
Give yourself permission to grow and most importantly, give yourself permission to embrace this new season.

A Prayer for the Autumn Season
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of life. I’m so thankful that we get to see another day, another season. I thank You for Your love, Your renewed grace and mercies each day. Thank You for covering us, Lord.
As we step into this autumn season, Lord, I pray that You continue to surround us and our loved ones. Send Your angels to guide us in our going out and our coming in.
Lord, You said that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, so we decree and declare that the enemy will not rise up against us, nor will it win, for You have already won the battle for us.
Heavenly Father, You said by Your stripes we are healed, so today I pray that You lay Your hands upon Your children. Let there be physical, mental and spiritual healing.
Cleanse us, oh God, of anything that is not of You, so that we walk through this season in good health and with a good spirit.
Thank You for blessing us with another season, another chapter and another chance at life, in Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. xx
